Storyline:
KARA is based on the war victims of a decade long civil war in the country. A story of two kids Kaju and Jun whose father was missing during the conflict in the country. Director Raju Giri has released the first look of the movie Rakshya by placing a sensual picture of actress Pujana Pradhan. Director Raju Giri has been popular after releasing the first look of the movie Bindaas in which he also placed some hot pictures of Sushma karki. It is known that actress Poojana Pradhan is paid a sum of Nrs. 1.75 lakhs for her glamorous role in this movie.

For the first time in the history of Nepali film industry, a 3D technology used movie is being produced by the Young director Dipendra Khanal. Dipendra Khanal, the producer/director of the popular sex psychology movie "Chapali Height" will invest Nrs. 1 crore for this film including 20 lakhs for just the 3d camers and softwares.

Set among the breathtaking landscapes of Eastern Nepal, "HIGHWAY", the first full-length feature of director/ producer Deepak Rauniyar, follows the journey of nine characters whose individual stories become accidentally interconnected during an ill-fated bus journey they take to the capital Kathmandu. The passengers - each of whom urgently needs to be somewhere else – find themselves stranded on the only main road due to an improvised and unlawful blockade known as a " bandh". While the journey is thwarted numerous times awaiting a resolution to the combustible strike, the film's story shifts into the characters' psychological and spiritual "bandhs " that many Nepalis are contending with since the end of the bloody 12-year civil conflict.

Storyline: A romantic love story with lots of humor and emotions at core.
Aavash (Aryan Sigdel) is a MBA graduate who meets Nisha (Reecha Sharma) in a bus trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara. During the trip they discuss about different aspects of life and eventually decides it is impossible for them to be just friends. They go to their separate ways after they reach Pokhara. Aavash coincidently meets Nisha again and again at different places in spite of their promise not to meet each other. After four years of realization at a New Year Aavas and Nisha confront the complex tangle of emotions they feel for each other.

The event will start with Nepal Premier of Kesang Tseten's latest documentary "Who will be a Gurkha" (1:00 pm Friday 7th december). The documentary features the rigorous selection process of less than 200 youths from more than 10,000 applicants into the British Army's Brigade of Gurkhas. It dwells on the social and historic aspects of Gurkha recruitment. The documentary was recently screened at the 24th International Documentary Film Festival of Amsterdam. And it will also premier Subarna Thapa's SOONGAVA - dance of the orchids(3:00 pm Tuesday 11 December) & Eric Valli's
"Himalayan Gold Rush".Valli is the same person who made the movie "Caravan" in 1999. Screening time: 11 December, Tuesday, 5:30 pm (City Hall)
